Our Mission
At TechForward Impact, our mission is to break down barriers for underrepresented communities and build an inclusive generation of innovators equipped to shape the future of responsible and trustworthy AI. We champion a future where diverse voices lead in advancing AI safety, governance, and innovation for the benefit of all.
We do this by:

Building Inclusive AI Communities:
We build a vibrant and diverse community of students, researchers, and professionals committed to addressing critical challenges in emerging technologies, with focus on AI safety, governance, and ethics.

Empowering the Next Generation of AI Leaders: We serve as a catalyst for early and mid-career researchers by providing resources, funding support, mentorship, and collaborative opportunities to pursue high-impact research in AI Safety, AI Governance, and AI Policy.

Championing Diversity Through Mentorship and Advocacy:
Through intentional mentorship and advocacy, we enable meaningful participation from underrepresented populations, fostering a diverse, ethical, and globally minded generation of leaders shaping the future of emerging technologies responsibly, safely, and equitably.

Strengthening Inclusive AI Talent Infrastructure:
We establish strategic partnerships and networks across academia, industry, and policy institutions to drive progress on AI safety, governance, and policy challenges, while creating pathways for underrepresented talent to thrive in the global AI ecosystem.

Co-Founder
Professor Rita Orji is a multiple-award winning professor named among the world’s top 2% of scientists by impact across all disciplines by Stanford University in 2021, 2022, and 2023..
Co-Founder
Nancy Eke-Agu is a certified AI Governance Leader, Ethics Advocate, and AI Policy Specialist. She is a Center for AI and Digital Policy Research Group Member and a passionate AI Ethics advocate.
