FOUNDATIONS OF AI SAFETY AND GOVERNANCE TRAINING FOUR-WEEK BOOTCAMP
The TechForward Impact AI Safety and Governance Training Four-Week Bootcamp aims to equip underserved and underrepresented professionals with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to actively shape responsible, ethical, and inclusive AI systems. It fosters critical awareness, policy literacy, and pathways to real-world impact in global AI governance.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE IS ANYONE WHO:
Is from an Underrepresented Ethnic Nationality
Possesses the ability to think critically and logically.
Is driven and eager to learn.
Has a desire to explore AI benefits and it's attendant risks
Wants to understand how they can get involved in AI Safety and Governance
Aspires to build a meaningful and impactful career.
Is willing to actively commit 3-4 hours weekly for up to six weeks for the training bootcamp
HIGHLIGHTS OF OUR INAUGURAL COHORT
For our Inaugural cohort, we received an overwhelming 1,001 applications from Black professionals globally.
From these, 545 participants were selected to join the first-ever AI Safety & Governance Bootcamp, and 347 successfully completed the program, meeting the 75% participation requirement to earn a Certificate of Completion.
This milestone marks more than numbers; it reflects a growing movement to shape responsible, ethical, and inclusive AI systems.
Participants brought unmatched energy, curiosity, and commitment, reinforcing the urgent need for ongoing programs that foster critical awareness of AI risks, strengthen policy literacy, and open up real-world pathways for impact in global AI governance.

Our Mission
Our mission is to lower the barrier for the underrepresented communities and promote an inclusive generation equipped to lead in addressing emerging AI risks.
We do so by:
1.
Building a strong, inclusive community of students and professionals focused on addressing risks associated with emerging technologies, particularly Artificial Intelligence.
2.
Acting as a catalyst, we support early and mid-career researchers by providing resources and mentorship to pursue impactful research in AI Safety, AI Governance, and AI Policy.
3.
Through mentorship and advocacy, we aim to enable meaningful participation from underrepresented populations to foster a diverse generation of leaders who will shape the future of AI responsibly and ethically.
4.
Growing a talent infrastructure for inclusive AI by establishing institutional connections to drive substantial progress on key AI Safety, Policy and Governance challenges.
